18 854 m² including 14 461 m² above

As part of the "Saint-Luc 2025" initiative, the Saint-Luc University Clinics have set a goal to provide a new hospital structure of over 18,000 m² that will bring together all oncology and hematology activities, catering to patients of all ages including children, adolescents, and adults.

The new institute, which will have a capacity of 120 beds, will be located adjacent to the main building of the Saint-Luc University Clinics in Woluwe Saint-Lambert.

In terms of facilities, the ground floor will feature a welcoming reception area and technical rooms. The first floor will accommodate the pediatrics department, while the second floor will house consultation rooms and a wellness area. The third floor will be dedicated to staff offices, with the fourth and fifth floors hosting the adult day hospital, the innovative therapies department, and the sterile unit where bone marrow transplants will be administered. The hemato-oncology and stem cell transplantation units will be situated on the sixth floor.

The building will be connected to the existing radiotherapy center, with some floors being connected by tunnels and glass-covered walkways. Additionally, an underground car park will be constructed as part of the project.

BIM project

This ambitious project is carried out in BIM:

  • Revit modeling of all technical building services in compliance with the project's BIM protocol,
  • All 2D technical building services plans come directly from the Revit model,
  • Coordination/conflict control based on Revit architecture and structural models using the Navisworks Manage conflict detection tool,
  • Extraction of quantities and estimates of the amount of work based on the BIM model.
